After the earthquake in Kermanshah Province in November 2012 and damages to various cities in the area, Yara Foundation announced its readiness to support the establishment of a child-centered library in the area. At the request of the teachers and facilitators of Qasr-e-Shirin, who had been covered by the \u201cRead with Me\u201d program before, the steps to set a child-centered library were planned by the \u201cRead with Me\u201d library committee. In collaboration with education authorities, a classroom was considered in Qasr-e-Shirin\u2019s Adab school to establish the library in May 2018.<\/p>\n

The space and layout of the library was designed by primary school teachers and librarian of Adab School.<\/p>\n

The library has nearly 700 volumes of quality books and 100 volumes of book-related activities along with activity sheets. Each teacher at Adab School also receives a book display for their class. At the beginning of the academic year 2018-2019, these teachers will attend \u201cRead with Me\u201d workshops. Having learned the Reading Aloud techniques and the methods of sharing books with children, they will bring books to their classrooms.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n
