The Institute for Research on the History of Children\u2019s Literature<\/a> in cooperation with the Iranian Illustration Society<\/a> organized the opening ceremony of the exhibition on \u201cIllustration of Children’s Books in Intercultural Dialogue” on Friday, 17 May 2018 at the Iranian Artists\u2019 Forum. The exhibition presents a project led by\u00a0Marit T\u00f6rnqvist.<\/p>\n

The exhibition featuring the works of Marit T\u00f6rnqvist, a Dutch-Swedish illustrator, along with the works of a group of Iranian illustrators including Nooshin Safakho, Mahsa Mansouri and Keyvan Akbari started its work at the presence of Marit T\u00f6rnqvist, Keijo Norvanto, the Finnish Ambassador, Fran\u00e7ois S\u00e9n\u00e9maud, the French Ambassador is Iran, Director of Iranian Artists\u2019 Forum and other artists and activists in children’s literature.<\/p>\n

The exhibition on \u201cIllustration of Children’s Books in Intercultural Dialogue” includes illustrations from the Intercultural Project Books Collection to produce high-quality illustrated books for the \u201cRead with Me<\/a>\u201d program. The project started its work since 2015 and during three years of continuous work, three books have been published including: \u201cThe Black Devil and White Mouse\u201d, \u201cCoat Wearing Carrot\u201d and \u201cSeven Horses in Seven Colors\u201d which were presented in this exhibition. In this project, the Iranian illustrators performed their task under the supervision of Marit T\u00f6rnqvist. The project is designed for the \u201cRead with Me\u201d program to produce and publish quality picture books.<\/p>\n
