Maryam Shojaei is a volunteer reading promoter collaborating with the \u201cRead with Me<\/a>\u201d project at North Khorasan Province and Esfarayen<\/strong><\/span> city.<\/p>\n

In 2020, knowing the Read with Me project by attending the workshops of the Institute for Research on the History of Children\u2019s Literature<\/a> on amoozak<\/a> website, she joined this team.<\/p>\n

She started her job as a promoter, after purchasing some books and joining \u201cOne Promoter, One Book Package\u201d campaign, since March 2020.<\/p>\n

In order to read books, she would visit care centers for orphaned and neglected children in Esfarayen<\/strong><\/span> and Shirvan<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, due to the outbreak of pandemic, the possibility of going to these centers became strictly limited.<\/p>\n

Therefore, by the cooperation of Imam Hassan\u2019s Orphanage, omid library <\/strong><\/span>(in persian omid means hope) was opened in this center so that children can\u00a0access the books\u00a0constantly.<\/p>\n

Wall-mounted Cloth Book Holders<\/span> were also sent to other centers so that the children of those centers would also be able to access the resources of the library.<\/p>\n

In cooperation with children living in this center, Omid library was launched in September.<\/p>\n

\u2018It all started with a conversation with Mehraveh about the Read with Me project,\u2019 says Maryam Shojaei.<\/p>\n

\u2018Then, participating in the interesting workshops of the the Institute for Research on the History of Children\u2019s Literature, practicing with my own child, and reading with two hospitalized orphans on a cold night.<\/p>\n

At this time I felt the magic of the story and got fascinated by the bright sparkle in children\u2019s eyes.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018After passing the mountain roads and reaching Imam Reza Paradise charity organization, my job continued with weekly reports and attending the campaign of One Promoter, One Book Package.<\/p>\n

Having seen Aria\u2019s paired shoes next to mine after reading the \u201cNaked Mole Rat Gets Dressed<\/a>\u201c as well as Sajad\u2019s dream of visiting China after reading \u201cFrog and the Stranger<\/a>\u201d I went on with reading a book once a week, playing and roleplaying with the children of three centers in Shirvan and\u00a0 Esfarayen.\u2019<\/p>\n
