\"Children<\/a>On 17 December 2015, Read with Me<\/strong> held a session with mothers covered by Child Foundation<\/em> in RahAhan Branch at the place of Valeh Cultural Center in Tehran 20th district in Shahr-e-Rey. In this session which was held in order to invite and encourage mothers to participate more actively in Read with Me<\/strong> project, more than 40 mothers with their children were present.<\/p>\n

The program started by a poem from Parvin DolatAbadi, then Mahtab Moghaddam, Read with Me<\/strong> supervisor in Child Foundation<\/em>, talked for the audience about the goals of Book Reading and its effects on child’s growth and the Read with Me<\/strong> project’s concentration on multi-dimensional growth of children and their skills.<\/p>\n

Two tutors read aloud the books “Izzy and Skunk” and “Red Short-legged Hen” to present the method of Book Reading in Read with Me<\/strong> project which was well received by the audience. The presence of children in this session and their reactions to Reading Aloud brought positive feedbacks and mothers recognised the indirect education of skills and concepts through books.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"AAlso in this session a movie about\u00a0Read with Me<\/strong>\u00a0project was showed to introduce this project and its goals to participants.<\/p>\n

This session was finished by appreciation from mothers and children and answering their questions. After the session the subject of mothers’ presence in the Reading Aloud Sessions was discussed with some mothers. This session and conversations affected a lot on mothers so that some of them borrowed some books to know more about the project. Some mothers were\u00a0also satisfied with their children’s enthusiasm for taking part in these sessions.<\/p>\n

Since summer 2015 by signing an agreement between\u00a0the Institute for Research on the History of Children\u2019s Literature<\/em> and Child Foundation<\/em> a series of Read with Me<\/strong> workshops were held for volunteers and social workers in this center and monthly Book Reading sessions are held in RahAhan district in Tehran and Gharchak in Varamin. At the end of each session the book is gifted to children. So children can have a quality book for themselves each month in addition of the books they can borrow from the library in the Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the moment the Child Foundation<\/em> authorities are rebuilding and expanding the library.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
