\"A<\/a>After holding Read with Me<\/strong> workshops in December 2015, RWM<\/strong> experts visited 12 schools in Districts 1 and 2 around Zahedan and 9 Nomad schools to evaluate the RWM<\/strong> project implementation.<\/p>\n

On these visits, teachers read aloud with children at the presence of RWM<\/strong> experts and the experts gave them some suggestions to improve their work.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Although classes in Districts 1 and 2 in Zahedan are very crowded and they have little facilities, all these schools had implemented RWM<\/strong> plan. In three schools a room was dedicated to Read\u00a0with\u00a0Me<\/strong> project and teachers bring children to these rooms for reading aloud sessions, performing plays and other book related artistic activities. In one of these schools\u00a0(Afarinesh) teachers and other school staff have turned a useless storage room\u00a0into a Read\u00a0with\u00a0Me<\/strong> classroom and they have painted scenes from books on its walls. In this nice and lovely room, two teachers read aloud with students in the presence of RWM<\/strong> experts sharing inexpressible joy with children.<\/p>\n

RWM<\/strong> experts who visited the region, report that teachers in a school\u00a0(Danesh school) have painted a room upon scenes from “Where the wild things are” and “Rosie’s walk” and so they have totally changed its atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Hanging books on the walls so that children can see and access them easily, installing posters about book reading in the classroom, making dolls from book characters, making a curtain with alphabet, performing plays, singing and playing games related to books were some of other activities which teachers and tutors did in their Read\u00a0with\u00a0Me<\/strong> classes.<\/p>\n

Between the schools that joined RWM<\/strong> project in Zahedan this year, there are some nomad schools. These schools which are located from 25 to 60 kilometers from Zahedan are multi-grade schools. RWM<\/strong> experts believe that despite lack of facilities and proper situation, teachers and tutors have implemented the project in this area with creativity, motivation and interest. As a result of reading in multi-grade classes some books are read for different age groups but the children in different grades have enjoyed reading aloud and have participated in conversations and book related activities.<\/p>\n

Playing \u00a0instrumantal \u00a0musical CDs for icreasing children’s concentration, using dolls and masks during reading aloud, making an alphabetical tree, using “Learning \u00a0alphabet” cards beside the alphabet on the wall, are some of the methods that these teachers applied. In most of these nomad classrooms by the experts suggestion, books have been hung on walls beside book related artistic works made by children so that children can see them constantly.<\/p>\n

The full cooperation of managers and other school staff in implementing Read\u00a0with\u00a0Me<\/strong> project was\u00a0the most worthwhile and affecting point in this visit.<\/p>\n
