{"id":7763,"date":"2016-03-17T08:19:45","date_gmt":"2016-03-17T08:19:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/readwithme.ir\/en\/?p=7763"},"modified":"2018-09-26T14:47:02","modified_gmt":"2018-09-26T11:17:02","slug":"khorasan-visit-2-1394","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/readwithme.ir\/en\/2016\/content\/khorasan-visit-2-1394\/","title":{"rendered":"Creative tutors in South Khorasan have colored the school classes by joy and living"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Two weeks before the end of Iranian Year of 1394, <strong>RWM<\/strong> experts traveled to South\u00a0Khorasan to run the second series of <strong>Read\u00a0with\u00a0Me<\/strong> workshops for teachers and tutors and to visit the project\u2019s implementation process in this region. This year is the second year that <strong>Read\u00a0with\u00a0Me<\/strong> is implemented in Birjand, Darmian and Khusf and teachers and tutors who have recently joined the project, beside more\u00a0experienced teachers, cooperate well to implement\u00a0the project and convey their experiences. In most of these classrooms, <strong>RWM<\/strong> books are hung on the walls or exhibited in small libraries. Activities related to Reading\u00a0Aloud are seen on the walls or showed in a corner of the classrooms.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Teachers and tutors also report the positive effects of project\u2019s implementation on children. Children, who were\u00a0covered by <strong>RWM\u00a0<\/strong>project during the previous year, are used to reading and they wait for Reading\u00a0aloud sessions and doing follow-up activities. Their skills in fluent reading, writing and social behaviors have been improved, they have more concentration and imagination and it is visible in their speaking and drawings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Teachers and tutors mention cases of complete or relative cure of stuttering or other speech disorders after working with \u201cLearning\u00a0Sounds\u201d book. In some schools, teachers have made library\u00a0cards\u00a0so children can borrow books and\u00a0practically learn the library system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During these visits, <strong>Read\u00a0with\u00a0Me<\/strong> cloth\u00a0pocket libraries were given to schools who didn\u2019t have proper facilities for class libraries and they were installed on walls by children\u2019s cooperation. Children put their books in these libraries by enthusiasm. So now on, books are visible and available to children in classrooms.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/readwithme.ir\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/RWM-in-South-Khorasan-Mar-2016-8.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-7771\" src=\"https:\/\/readwithme.ir\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/RWM-in-South-Khorasan-Mar-2016-8-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"RWM cloth pocket libraries - Read with Me in South Khorasan - Mar 2016\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/readwithme.ir\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/RWM-in-South-Khorasan-Mar-2016-7.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-7770\" src=\"https:\/\/readwithme.ir\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/RWM-in-South-Khorasan-Mar-2016-7-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"RWM cloth pocket libraries - Read with Me in South Khorasan - Mar 2016\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>RWM<\/strong> complementary workshops were also held on this trip, in addition of visiting the schools; and teachers, tutors and some of schools&#8217; principals participated in \u201cReading\u00a0Aloud\u201d, &#8220;Learning\u00a0Sounds\u00a0\u06f2\u201d, \u201cDictionary\u00a0of\u00a0Riddles\u201d, \u201cLiving\u00a0Values\u201d, \u201cEnvironment\u201d and \u201cPeace\u00a0Globe\u201d workshops. In these workshops the experts also solved some of the problems which they observed during visits and answered teachers and tutors\u2019 questions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In &#8220;Living\u00a0Values workshop&#8221;, teachers and tutors recognized the concepts of \u201cNeed\u00a0(Right)\u201d and \u201cDemand\u201d, the skills of solving problems and priority of values and they practiced related games and activities in groups. In &#8220;Dictionary\u00a0of\u00a0Riddles workshop&#8221;, <strong>RWM\u00a0<\/strong>experts did practical activities in relation with books and introduced games such: phoneme\u00a0puzzles, picture\u00a0puzzles, riddles, pantomime, alphabet\u00a0name\u00a0game. And they explained about entry titles and how to find them, choosing the entry and writing an explanation and the alphabetical order activity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In &#8220;environment workshop&#8221;, the environment definition, connection between <strong>RWM<\/strong> project and environment, ecosystem definition, classification of books upon the subjective relevance to environment and possible environmental activities in relation with books, were discussed with teachers and different habitats in Iran and their animals were taught and practiced.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In &#8220;Peace Globe workshop&#8221;, trainees learned the concept of peace, things which support peace on earth and things which threaten or\u00a0destroy it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Also on the final day a \u201c<strong>Read\u00a0with\u00a0Me<\/strong> Introduction\u201d workshop was held for 15 school\u00a0principals.
