\"End<\/a>On Friday, 27 May 2016, end of academic year and end of Read\u00a0with\u00a0Me<\/strong> course in this year was celebrated in Supportive Education Center of MahmoudAbad<\/em>\u00a0in the presence of children, mothers, tutors, RWM<\/strong> experts and some guests. 45\u00a0preschoolers, 40\u00a0children from kindergarten, 20\u00a0children from elementary school who are library members and about 50\u00a0mothers took part in this ceremony.<\/p>\n

The ceremony was started by playing some pieces by a music band invited to the ceremony, after welcoming the guests, which made a happy and joyful atmosphere for children.<\/p>\n

Then some preschoolers, who receive \u201cBasic Literacy improvement through Literature\u201d education by working with \u201cLearning\u00a0Sounds\u201d and \u201cLearning\u00a0Alphabet\u201d Packages, introduced some phonemes to the audience by singing a song. Also, all the preschoolers sang the \u201cLearning\u00a0Alphabet\u201d song together.<\/p>\n

The music band performed a folklore song with children, which was very well received by the audience.<\/p>\n

\"End<\/a>In the next part of the program, the children from kindergarten performed a play based on the book \u201cRosie\u2019s\u00a0walk\u201d and some other children sang the song \u201cFamily\u201d with their finger puppets.<\/p>\n

Live performance of some Iranian traditional Music pieces and an introduction of traditional music instruments to children and families was another part of the ceremony. Then a well-known child song was read by all the children and audience.<\/p>\n

As a lateral event of this ceremony, an exhibition of quality books had been held and mothers were invited to visit this exhibition and make a memorable day for their children by buying a book. This exhibition, which was the first book exhibition in MahmoudAbad neighborhood, was very well-received and made mothers and their children familiar with book exhibitions.<\/p>\n

Supportive Education Center of MahmoudAbad <\/em>(Cultural\u00a0Center) is one of the successful centers of Read\u00a0with\u00a0Me<\/strong> in Tehran. The library in this center has started its activity since 2015 for children and adolescents in the neighborhood and families of workers in MahmoudAbad brick making kilns. This library gives service to different age groups of preschool, elementary school, and high school and it holds several Reading Aloud sessions, book-related activities and \u201cLearning Sounds\u201d and \u201cLearning Alphabet\u201d packages related works.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
