On 12-13 May, in two ceremonies in Birjand and Boshrouyeh, teachers and tutors, implementing Read\u00a0with\u00a0Me<\/strong> project, were\u00a0appreciated in the presence of South Khorasan Education Office<\/em> authorities and Read with Me<\/strong> experts.<\/p>\n

On 12 May, 92 preschool tutors and elementary school teachers from Birjand, Khusf and Darmian attended Read with Me<\/strong> Final Meeting in Birjand. These teachers and tutors have implemented the project in their classes for two years for 1750 children.<\/p>\n

\"Tutor<\/a>Mr. Hosseini, South Khorasan Education Office<\/em> Assistant, congratulated Asahi-Ibby Book Promotion Award 2016 winning by RWM<\/strong>, to everyone involved in the project. Then he thanked the Institute for Research on the History of Children\u2019s Literature<\/em> and Yavari Cultural Community<\/em> for implementing the project in this province, defining RWM<\/strong>\u2019s effects on motivating teachers and tutors, making children interested in book reading and improving their basic literacy.<\/p>\n

Maryam Akhgari, RWM<\/strong> responsible in South Khorasan, also valued the cooperation of South Khorasan Education Office<\/em> and teachers and tutors and insisted that the project has just begun after these two years of cooperation. Mehri Safai, one of the\u00a0RWM<\/strong> experts, mentioned the importance of documentation and reporting in RWM<\/strong> project.<\/p>\n

Some students sang a song about books for the audience while holding a RWM<\/strong> book in their hands and wearing paper crowns; on each of them a living value was written: love and friendship, respecting each other, toleration, modesty, cooperation, joy and happiness, responsibility and honesty. Then they performed a play based on the book \u201cJust a minute\u201d and some other children performed a finger puppet play.<\/p>\n

In this ceremony, some teachers and tutors talked about experiences, memories and the project’s effect. At the end, Read with Me<\/strong> certificates were given to teachers and tutors.<\/p>\n

On Friday, 13 May, the same ceremony was held in Boshrouyeh where 66 teachers and tutors from preschool to fourth grade of elementary school have implemented the project for 1200 children during last year. South Khorasan and Boshrouyeh Education Office<\/em> authorities and RWM<\/strong> experts gave a speech at this meeting. Also, children played some games with \u201cLearning Alphabet Cards\u201d, another group sang a song and a child recited a song about books. Some teachers and tutors expressed their memories and experiences from RWM<\/strong> project and the ceremony was finished by giving certificates to teachers and tutors and appreciating their efforts.<\/p>\n
